Telemedicine

Southern Family Medicine is now offering telemedicine visits. This new service allows you to have a virtual, face-to-face visit with your provider while remaining inside the comfort of your home. Appointment slots will be approximately ten minutes with Dr. Miller. 

Instructions for telemedicine visit:

1. To participate in a telemed visit, you will need to call the office to schedule an appointment and have an electronic device that has a working camera and microphone. (You will not need to download any software or apps onto your electronic device for your telemed visit.)

2. When you schedule your telemed visit, you will need to provide your email address. This email address is what the provider will use to email you right before your appointment time.

3. Once you receive the email from the provider, you will see a link that you will click, and it will direct you to the website where you will type your name to check-in.

4. The website will then ask you to enable your camera and microphone. Once you have enabled these devices, you will automatically be entered into a virtual waiting room. Your provider will start the call at your scheduled time.

5. It is important to be on the lookout for an email from your provider. This email will come through about five minutes before your scheduled appointment.

telemed visits are limited to most routine follow-ups right now. Your insurance copays and deductibles will apply to telemed visits. Please call the office to schedule yours today!
